What is Holon Hub?

Hub is the single-install entry point for institutional LTI 1.3 deployments. Your Canvas admin installs Hub once at the account level and every licensed tool is available to instructors and students through one nav item. Individual instructor tools install separately for technical reasons — Canvas API rate limits are enforced per access token, so giving each tool its own token preserves capacity for every tool. Manage all your tool installs from your customer portal.

Do I need IT help to install individual tools?

No. Individual plans use LTI 1.1 — you install them yourself in Canvas Settings Apps in under 2 minutes. No IT ticket, no admin approval needed. Institutional plans use LTI 1.3 which requires a one-time admin setup.

How does pricing work for individual tools?

Every tool is $69/year on its own. The more tools you add to your cart, the lower the per-tool price — down to $39 each when you take all ten, for $390/year. You pick exactly the tools you want; there are no bundles or filler. Each tool installs via LTI 1.1 with no IT involvement and includes a 5-day free trial.

For institutional plans — who chooses which 5 or 15 tools?

Your Canvas admin picks the tools at setup time. For Builder and Pro plans, those tools are available to every instructor at your institution. You can request a tool swap once per year if your needs change.

Can I start with individual and upgrade to institutional later?

Yes. Individual licenses are pro-rated if you upgrade mid-year. When your institution goes institutional, individual instructor licenses for that domain are absorbed into the institutional contract at no extra charge.

Do you accept purchase orders for institutional plans?

Yes — K-12 districts and higher ed institutions can pay by PO, check, ACH, or credit card. We'll send a formal quote and W-9 along with your PO processing paperwork.

What happens when you build new tools?

Institutional All Access plans automatically include every new tool we build at no extra cost. Individual instructors can add any new tool to their account at the same volume pricing — the more tools you hold, the lower your per-tool rate.

Do K-12 and higher ed plans include the same tools?

Yes — the same 50+ tools are available to all plans. Holon Hub automatically shows K-12 teachers a filtered view of the most relevant tools for classroom use, keeping their dashboard clean and focused.
